We loved Joe Allen’s & always went there after the theatre..loved the steps leading & the Piano player..started playing around 11pm..always friendly staff..we were there once on St Patrick’s night & it was getting near closing when we heard the news that a Bomb Alert had caused all traffic to be halted..our cab couldn’t get to us ’till the all clear..Joe Allen shut the doors & the few people left ,(our group of 4 included) ended up all sitting round a couple of tables with free drinks & staff sitting with us..someone tried my shoes on & we all had a great ..although worrying..lock in.We were reluctant to try the new one for fear it just wouldn’t be the same but having read this review we can’t wait to try it.

Good to hear this story. I have to confess I haven’t been for a while but hopefully as good as always before.
